Join the Harbor Springs Chapter on a hike of Section 8 south from Goose Pond towards Lakeview Parking Lot. Part of this section of trail follows Wilderness Park Trails, Swampline, and Sturgeon Bay Trail. Wilderness Park marks trail intersections. Then the trail goes along many ponds, through Lake Michigan forested sand dunes, a swamp, and a pine and hardwood forest. All of this section is within Wilderness State Park, and Park rules apply.

NOTE: There are two Sturgeon Bay Trails. One is a country road which goes between Pleasantview Rd and N Lakeshore Dr. The other is a trail within Wilderness State Park.

Hike Length: 6.75 miles

Meet at Section 8 Trailhead: 2000 W Lakeview Rd, 49718. Near the corner of W Lakeview Rd and N Lake Shore Dr. We will then drive (spot) cars to Goose Pond in Wilderness State Park and hike back to Lakeview Parking Lot.
