Hike with our Harbor Springs Chapter on section 8 north towards Goose Pond – 6.5 miles

About half of this trail goes through pine and hardwood forests, a swamp, through Lake Michigan forested sand dunes and along many ponds. The other half of this trail follows Wilderness Park Trails, Sturgeon Bay Trail, and Swampline. Wilderness Park marks trail intersections. All of this section is within Wilderness State Park, and Park rules apply.

Note: There are two Sturgeon Bay Trails. One is a county road which goes between Pleasantview Road and North Lakeshore Drive. The other is a trail within Wilderness State Park.
