From Trout Lake or Rudyard, follow H-40 to the Trout Brook Pond Trail Head drive, marked by a Hiawatha National Forest location sign about 10 miles from either town. This location is 1.3 miles east of East Lake Road.

The length of the hike will be about 5 miles. Conditions that day could dictate adjusting the length of the hike. We can discuss options at the meeting location.

Be prepared for the conditions. Snowshoes or XC skis may be needed. Bring water, a camera, and the 10 essentials, and a snack for the trail.
