The Hiawatha Shore-to-Shore Chapter’s segment of the North Country Trail is from the mouth of the Two Hearted River to the south end of the Mackinac Bridge.
Here, the trail winds through the Hiawatha National Forest, and Tahquamenon Falls and Straits state parks; past several lakes, streams, and bogs; into the NCTA Trail Town of St. Ignace; and across the Mackinac Bridge. The Hiawatha Shore-to-Shore Chapter volunteers maintain their segment in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service and Michigan Department of Natural Resources, as well as others.
