Applications open for the Thru-Hike Syndicate

The North Country Trail is pleased to be included in the Thru-Hike Syndicate program for 2018.

If you are planning to hike the entire North Country Trail during 2018, whether as a thru-hike, or in a series of segments, you are eligible to apply.

Applications are due January 21, and you may apply here.

Since so few hikers attempt the 4,600-mile North Country Trail, NCT hikers have a good chance at being accepted. We urge you to apply if you are planning our Trail for 2018, but act quickly as the deadline is near!

The Syndicate is selecting 15 outstanding thru-hikers to represent the Thru-Hike Syndicate and brand partners Vasque Footwear, Osprey Ppacks, NEMO Equipment, Darn Tough Vermont Socks, OtterBox and LEKI trekking poles during their thru-hike in 2018.

Requirements for the ideal candidate include but are not limited to:
•Definitive plans to attempt a thru-hike of a long trail in North America in 2018
•Active on Instagram and able to be a storyteller through imagery on social media
•Agree to send imagery and/or video from hike to sponsor brands
•Must use products supplied by sponsor brands throughout entire thru-hike

The application process is open until January 21st and all finalists will be contacted the first week of February.
