Last Guided ANF Hike of 2023
Join the NCTA Allegheny National Forest Chapter on December 10 for the last guided hike of 2023. This hike will be traveling past the Gibbs Spring shelter and through peaceful pine plantations as we cross Gibbs Hill, to Bliss Hill Road and back. This is an out-and-back hike on the NCNST. It is about 5 miles to go to the first snowmobile road and back, or 10.2 miles to go all the way to Bliss Hill and back. The length of the hike can be adjusted based on the desires of the participants.
Our meeting time is 10:00 a.m. at the Route 6 trailhead. Parking is located on Route 6 about 2 miles east of Ludlow. Please come prepared for the hike dressed in layers appropriate for the weather (this mild stuff can’t last forever), and carrying your own food and water. Friendly dogs are welcome. See you there!
