This hike with the NCTA Chief Baw Beese Chapter will celebrate National Public Lands Day by starting at Fireman’s Park in Litchfield and follow the St. Joe River out to the Herring Road trailhead and back.

This hike is dog and family friendly. Dogs must remain leashed at all times. This section of Trail is a natural trail along the river, and through woods and swamp.

The parking is right off M-49 (Anderson Road) 0.25 mile south of M-99 and downtown Litchfield. Restrooms are available at the parking area. Bring water and bug spray. Cell phone service and wifi is generally available. No fee for parking or the event.
