Wilderness Clearing Trip, Border Route Trail Association
Give back to the Border Route Trail by volunteering on a Wilderness Clearing Trip!
This is a car camping trip into the east side of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW). We’ll meet and camp at McFarland Lake Campground and hike into the BWCAW from McFarland Lake. From there, we’ll use hand tools to clear deadfalls and brush heading west towards the Pine Ridge Campsite.
We will provide the permits, tools, and safety gear. You will need to bring personal gear (tent, cookware, etc), meals, snacks, hydration, etc.
Attendance is limited to nine. Registration is required.
