The moon will be 92% full on Saturday, March 4. Join the NCTA Brule-St. Croix Chapter for a snowshoe hike on the NCNST in the bird sanctuary, under the light of the nearly full moon. We will snowshoe from Bird Road to Wisconsin Roving Trail Crew’s campsite, and return for about 2.8 miles total.

We will park/meet on Bird Road past the Bird Road Trailhead where the NCNST crosses Bird Road at 6:00 p.m. From U.S. Highway 53 going south, turn right on County Road M, right on Bird Road, go past the trailhead about 0.3-mile. A map is provided in the additional photos for the meetup.

Your hike leader will be Glen, a member of the Brule-St. Croix Chapter. Please bring what you need to snowshoe, poles, snacks, water, and dress in layers. Most of the snowshoe is in a fairly open area, great for a full moon hike. The picture was taken at the location on Saturday, February 25. On the off chance, the weather does not cooperate, please watch meet-up for possible cancellation.
