The Brule-St. Croix Chapter of the North Country Trail Association is participating in Brule Family Fun Day. Nadine Hubert will lead a hike at 2:00 p.m. on the Stoney Hill Trail, 1.6 mile loop. A section of the Stoney Hill Trail is part of a spur trail that connects to the North Country Trail. There are many events to participate in, in addition to the hike:

At the Hatchery
• Catch-and-release fishing
• Fly tying and casting
• Kids archery and nature hike
• Fish filleting demonstration
• Fish printing (Bring a t-shirt or t-shirts for sale for $7.00 each)
• Hatchery tours
• Aquatic invasive species display, lamprey display
• Fire suppression equipment on display

At the Canoe Landing
(No admission sticker needed the day of the event)
• Canoe the Brule River from Bois Brule canoe landing to Hwy 2 (sign up at registration stand at hatchery)
➢ Gift bags given out to all children
(Some events subject to change due to volunteer help)

11:30am – Stream Shocking Demonstration #1
– Meet at the Bois Brule Campground (Ranger Road)
12:30pm – Group Aquatic Invertebrates Sample #2
– Meet by the Aquatic Life on the Brule table
1:00pm – Canoe Trip #2
– Meet at the Bois Brule Campground (Ranger Road)
1:30pm – Stream Shocking Demonstration #2
– Meet at the Bois Brule Campground (Ranger Road)
2:00pm – North Country Trail Association Group Hike
– Meet at the event registration/ sign up table
Hatchery tours every hour on the hour 10am – 2pm

Events will be both at the Brule State Fish Hatchery and Bois Brule Campground Canoe Landing.
