Experience the extraordinary transformation occurring in the fall forest community on this walk with the NCTA Butler County Chapter and Jennings Environmental Center staff.

Autumn is a time of incredible abundance and activity. Trees are laden with nuts, birds migrate through skies of magnificent blue, and the forest is bathed in a spectacular display of color. More than just familiar signs of fall, these are actually critical changes taking place in preparation for the coming winter. The walk will cover about a half-mile of varied terrain. The trail is rated “easy,” for those who are able to travel the distance over sloping or uneven areas. Afterwards stay for optional 3 to 4 mile hike along the NCNST, led by Dave Adams.

Dress for the weather, wear hiking boots or sturdy pair of shoes. Bring water and any snacks you may want. Bring bug spray and sunscreen when necessary. For any event updates, cancellations, or changes due to weather or trail conditions, refer to the Chapter’s Facebook page.

Please RSVP by October 14, as attendance is limited to 30 participants. You must email to register for the event: Sending the name of the event you would like to attend, your name, phone number, and email address to but@northcountrytrail.org.
