Hike Four: Porcupine Lake Wilderness Hike
This 2.5-mile loop hike with the Chequamegon Chapter features Porcupine Creek, Porcupine Lake, 18-Mile Spring Pond, and some interesting bridges.
It would not be a good choice for people with mobility impairments.
We will meet at the Porcupine Lake access trail (46.296280, -91.159040). Please note that there are two trailheads on Porcupine Lake Road to the west of the trailhead where we will meet. The Porcupine Lake access trail is the trailhead furthest east and it has a sign.
We suggest that you dress for the weather and bugs, wear a hat, bring bug repellant (perhaps a bug head net), water, lunch, and a snack.
The alternate date is August 29th. Please check the NCTA in Wisconsin Facebook Page for information about cancellations / postponements. This information will be posted after 6:00 PM the day before the hike.
