Volunteers of the Dakota Prairie, Sheyenne River Valley, and Central Flyway Chapters welcome all to Hike Fest 2025. A variety of trail use opportunities will be offered across North Dakota’s 400+ miles of North Country National Scenic Trail this August.

Sheyenne River Valley Chapter hikes are scheduled for Thursday, August 21st at the Sheyenne State Forest southeast of Fort Ransom, ND. The first hike will begin at 9am at the Oak Ridge Trailhead parking lot and go to the waterfall campsite and back (5 miles). If needed, there will be another hike offered for Clausen Springs Recreation Area to Kathryn (4.2 miles).

Evening events (catered dinner for $16/person and bonfire) will be held at the Thrill Hills in Fort Ransom. This event is limited to 50 people.
