Snowshoe, ski, hike! The best way to enjoy winter is to get outside and be active! Plan on having FUN and celebrate Winter Trails Day!

Bring clothing appropriate for the weather, snowshoes or cross-country skis, water, the 10 Essentials, a snack, and a camera.

• 12:00 p.m. Join us at a bonfire off Brevort Lake Road. Bring your lunch and eat while we organize for the hike. We will cover a couple of miles or more as conditions allow. (GPS Coordinates: 45.953272, -84.892921) The meeting location is a little spur road sometimes known as Jolene about two miles north of US-2 on Brevort Lake Road, 10 miles west of St. Ignace. This is where the NCNST crosses Brevort Lake Road. See a map that shows the NCNST here.
• 5:00 p.m. Bonus hike: Stomp the Park! Meet at the Michigan Welcome Center on the east side of I-75 just north of the Mackinac Bridge. (Make a left turn on the freeway as you head south, just before the toll booths.) We will hike the NCNST into Straits State Park and explore the trails and sights within the park. Great and unique views of the bridge are found here. We will cover a couple of miles with an out-and-back hike.
• 7:00 p.m. Dinner at a local restaurant. A great way to finish the day!

We will need to record your name and contact information before the hike. If you are sick or a family member is sick, please stay home.
