Heritage Chapter October Work Weekend
The NCTA Heritage Chapter‘s main focus will be trail construction and some maintenance.
We have free camping available Friday and Saturday in Copper Falls State Park at Overflow Site 2 (Highway 169, just north of Mellen). Remember you will need a sticker pass on your vehicle if camping with us overnight.
Heritage Chapter members Bethany Thomas has graciously funded the rental of the Cozy Valley Lodge, a vacation rental home on the Thewis Family Farm (on Highway 169 just north of the NCNST trailhead). Space is limited in this home, so you should reserve your space by emailing email@example.com.
Meet at the entrance station at Copper Falls State Park on Highway 169 just east of Mellen at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday for tools, directions, and carpooling. Bring your own water (2+ liters recommended), trail lunch, snacks, and bug repellent. The Chapter will provide dinner after work on Saturday.
Please RSVP and find updated information on this event on Meetup.
Thank you volunteers, for all you do to support the North Country National Scenic Trail. Without volunteers there would not be a Trail!
