Cross-Chapter Hike: Harbor Springs + JV45°
We will meet at the parking on Hathaway Rd. (Michigan NCT Mile 609.25) at 9:30. At 10:00 we will drive hikers to the start at the parking on Stutsmanville Rd. (602.0) ~7.25 Miles.
For a shorter hike, you could drive to the parking lot on Brutus Rd. (604.0), Valley Rd. (605.0, no parking lot), or you could start at the Hathaway parking lot (609.25) and walk north to meet the southbound group (technically eastbound on the NCT).

The trailhead at Kipp Rd. (608.5) is the junction of the Harbor Springs and the Jordan Valley 45° Chapters. This hike will be all off road and somewhat hilly in the Harbor Springs sections. After the hike we will ferry drivers back to the start at Stutsmanville Rd. (or other spots) to recover cars. We will then go for pops and lunch at the Petoskey Brewing Co. (613.25).
Come prepared for the weather. Bring a fiend and plenty of water and snacks.
The Jordan Valley 45 Chapter trail runs 79 miles from Starvation Lake Rd. to Kipp Rd., near Harbor Springs. The Harbor Spring Chapter runs from Kipp Rd. to the Mackinac Bridge. Monthly hikes are usually on the 3rd Saturday of the month. All are welcome. Question? Call Bob Courtois at 248-212-6699.
