Jordan Valley 45° Chapter

6 miles from N. Conway Rd. & US 31 (Mile 610.25) to Bayfront Park (616.25)

We will meet at Bayfront Park (parking by the Bear River, mile 616.25) at 9:30 and head out by 10:00 to ferry everyone to the hike’s start at N. Conway Rd. & US 31. For a shorter hike, you could start at Bayfront Park (45.375302, -84.960108) and walk north to meet the southbound group.

This hike is mostly sidewalks and some rails to trail. Along the way we will pass Round Lake, walk along Little Traverse Bay, and pass through Bayfront Park. If there is interest, we may take a side hike into the south end of Petoskey State Park and out to the beach.

After the hike we will ferry drivers back to the start at N. Conway Rd. to recover cars. We will also gather for pops and lunch at one of the local establishments (maybe Duffy’s, Mitchell Street Pub, or Petoskey Brewing Co.).

Come prepared for the weather as it can be windy on the bay. Bring plenty of water and snacks.

The Jordan Valley 45 Chapter trail runs from Starvation Lake Rd. to Kipp Rd. in Harbor Springs, about 79 miles of awesome valleys, hills and wooded trail. Monthly hikes are usually on the 3rd Saturday of the month. All are welcome.
