Oreo Cookie Hike
Join us to celebrate two of our favorite things: Winter hiking and Oreo cookies!
The NCTA North Country Trails Hikers Chapter is holding a family friendly winter hike on Sunday, March 6. It will end with an opportunity to sample a variety of Oreos in honor of National Oreo Cookie Day! This event is free and open to the public. The guided, out-and-back hike will cover about four miles of flat terrain alone the Lake Superior shoreline.
Join Chapter hike leaders at the parking lot on the west side of County Road 550, located just north of Harlow Lake Road and the entrance to Little Presque Isle, approximately 6.5 miles north of Marquette. We will meet around 12:45 p.m. for a prompt 1:00 p.m. start. Trail conditions near the trailhead are typically well-packed, but snowshoes are likely necessary further from the trailhead. Leaders will preview conditions before the hike and update participants about equipment recommendations.
Advanced registration is required for leaders to plan hiking logistics and to ensure we can contact participants with any last-minute updates. Please register by Friday, March 4.
