NCTA Trail Adopter Workshop
Are you an existing or prospective Trail Adopter? Join the NCTA’s Regional Trail Coordinators for a Trail Adopter Workshop, the evening of April 28.
A Trail Adopter for the North Country National Scenic Trail (NCNST) takes responsibility for a specific section of Trail, monitors its condition, maintains what they can, and reports to NCTA staff if assistance is needed. Becoming a Trail Adopter is the perfect transition from hiking the Trail to caring for a section of it and NCTA Chapters across the Trail are looking for new Adopters!
No matter your level of experience, everyone is welcome to join this workshop as we discuss how to become an Adopter, resources available to improve your trail skills, and how to join upcoming Chapter Adopter training opportunities. We’ll have breakout sessions so new volunteers can learn the ins and outs of being a Trail Adopter and existing Adopters can share their experiences and learn from others.
Interested participants must pre-register.
