Oak Openings Group Hike

Join the Northwestern Ohio Rails-to-Trails Association (NORTA) for a group hike through the Oak Openings region in northwestern Ohio. We will meet at the Springbrook trailhead, shuttle to Berridge Road, and hike back approximately six miles. The trail is easy, nearly level, single-track trail through forest with sections of restored oak savanna, a critical habitat in the globally rare oak openings ecosystem.
Bring water and food, and wear clothing and shoes appropriate for the weather. Restrooms are available at the trailhead.
The Springbrook trailhead is on OH-64 (Waterville-Swanton Road) between Reed Road and Monclova Road (GPS coordinates: 41.556644, -83.873695).
