This is an out-and-back hike. Distance is up to the group and individual hikers; you may turn back as desired.

We will head south from the parking area.

Please bring what you need to hike in winter: poles, proper footwear, sunglasses, water, hat, etc.

You may also want to pack a snack, although depending on weather, it may be too cold to stop for very long.

Location Information: Upper Branch Bridge near Baldwin, Michigan.

The trailhead is approximately at mile post 846.5 and is labeled ‘Upper Branch Bridge’ on the North Country Trail map (zoom in to see the location; south of US 10 and east of Baldwin, Mich.).

There have been detour signs in the area because of a small area of road that needs repair. The county has created a dirt area on this section and cars have been driving through.
