Join the NCTA Spirit of the Woods Chapter for a hike on the NCNST, leaving from an informal trailhead south of the town of Brethren and north from the river crossing on High Bridge Road. The hike leader will be Loren Bach. Please RSVP to spw@northcountrytrail.org or 231-510-1983.

• ArcGIS map of the area of the Trail. The meeting place is at approximately mile post 814 and we will be parking in a small pull out off High Bridge Road and hiking east from there. This is a snowmobile trail in the winter and may get some ORV traffic in the summer, so park to the side. It isn’t very big so it would be helpful to carpool to reduce the number of cars. You can also park on River Road just east of High Bridge Road.

There is also parking at the High Bridge River Access lot at approximately 814.75 and you can carpool or walk the 3/4-mile up the hill to the start point. You will need a National Forest daily or senior pass at that site. There is a fee pipe where you can buy the daily pass. This is the Google map link for the river access site.
