The NCTA Chief Noonday Chapter‘s March workday will be a celebration of sorts! Through the help of the National Park Trust, the North Country Trail Association has purchased land allowing us to reconnect our old trail from EF Avenue to the Kellogg Experimental Forest! (Near Michigan NCNST Mile 1069.5.) This change will allow us to forgo the half-mile roadwalk we have used, and to get the Trail back into the woods!

We are seeking helpers to clean up and renew the old trail, which is in pretty good shape but needs a “haircut and trim.” This will be equal parts socialize and beautify! Join in the fun. (Likely to invite folks to lunch at Player’s Grill in Augusta, following the work.)

Meet us at the NCNST Trailhead parking lot on 42nd Avenue about a quarter-mile north of 7060 42nd Street N. (if using GPS). Bring loppers and pruning shears, gloves, etc. Contact Eric Longman with questions at ericnct@gmail.com or 269-203-5703.
