Let’s celebrate National Public Lands Day (also North Country National Scenic Trail Day) with a hike on public lands 🥾 Join the NCTA Wampum Chapter for a waterfall hike in McConnells Mill State Park.

We will meet at the Hells Hollow parking and depart promptly at 9:00 a.m. The hike will follow the NCNST / Slippery Rock Gorge Trail to Walnut Flats. We will take a break at the flats before returning back. On the way back, we will take a little detour to see the falls. Total distance is 9 miles, out-and-back.

This trail is rated difficult with multiple elevation changes. Trekking poles are helpful, sturdy hiking shoes are a must. Please bring plenty of water and a snack.
