Enjoy a day in the forest with the Allegheny National Forest Chapter to celebrate St Patrick’s Day! Our meeting time is 10am at the Rt 66 trailhead. It’s located on Rt 66 at N 41° 25.153’ W 79° 12.635’, about 6 miles south of Marienville. You can also follow this link to the spot on the NCTA interactive map.

We will do an out-and-back hike north on the NCT; about 9.2 miles to Guitonville Rd and back, or about 6.0 miles to the Coon Creek Bridge and back. The hike length can be adjusted based on the desires of the participants. Different groups of hikers can cover more or less trail.

Please come prepared for the hike dressed in appropriate (green!) layers for the weather, and carrying your own food and water. Friendly dogs are welcome. We hope to see you down the trail.

Sun, April 6 – 10 am – Meet at Sugar Bay, Rt 321 TH hiking north to Johnnycake Run and back

Sat, May 3 – 6:30 pm NIGHT HIKE – Meet at Amsler Spring TH, drive north to FR 327, then hike south to Little Salmon Creek or FR 216 and back

Sun, June 22 – 10 am – Meet at Rt 6 TH, drive south to Fox’s Dam, then hike south to Rock City Campsite and back
