Allegheny National Forest Chapter: April Guided Night Hike
Join our Allegheny National Forest Chapter’s second night hike! If you’ve never hiked at night and would like to do so with experienced guides, this is the time to try. Hiking at night is an essential skill to have for participating in the longer distances of the Allegheny-100 Hiking Challenge, so we encourage you to come and enjoy the ANF at night.
We’ll meet no later than 6:30 pm at the Rt 321 Chapel Bay Trailhead. The trailhead is located about 4.3 miles south of RT 59 and about 6 miles north of the Forest Service Red Bridge Campground. GPS coordinates are N 41° 48.684’ W 078° 52.295’.
We will do point-to-point hike north on the NCT shuttling down to Bliss Hill Rd and hiking back to Chapel Bay Trailhead, a distance of about 8 miles.
Please come prepared for the hike dressed in appropriate layers for the weather, and carrying your own food and water. Friendly dogs are welcome. We hope to see you down the trail.
