Join us Saturday, June 1st, or Sunday, June 2nd, or both as the Allegheny National Forest Chapter prepares for the A-100 Hiking Challenge!

For both days, we will be meeting no later than 10 AM. We’ll be working on clearing and brushing, along with a few small projects. If you are interested in camping on Saturday evening, we suggest Kellettville Campground.

On Saturday, June 1st, meet at the Henrys Mill Trailhead. It’s located on Rt 666 at N 41°38.158’ W 079° 02.569’ (41.635972, -79.042806) about 3.5 miles south of Rt 948 on the SE side of the bridge over the Tionesta Creek. You can also follow this link, to the spot on the NCTA interactive map or on Google Maps.

Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather, and bring your own water, food, and work gloves. All tools are provided and no special skills are needed. We encourage people new to trail work to come out and give back to the trail. There will be a job for you and a person to teach you what to do. Remember that “many hands make light work”.
