Come celebrate National Public Lands Day (also North Country National Scenic Trail Day) by hiking with the NCTA Chief Noonday Chapter at Historic Bridges Park in Battle Creek, Michigan!

Meet and park at the kiosk in the park. The hike will begin at 9:00 a.m. This park is on the Kalamazoo River with many restored bridges from across Michigan. The NCNST goes over one bridge, and there are others to visit. The hike will also traverse Kimball Pines County Park and the Ott Biological Preserve. The trail consists of crushed stone, paved, and natural surfaces.

The short hike is 5 miles out and back, and the long hike is 9 miles out and back. Anyone can turn back when they desire. Both hikes offer woods, streams, ponds, bridges, and other scenic views.

There will also be a drawing of prizes! There is an optional post-hike meetup at McGonigle’s Pub (915 E. Emmett Street, Battle Creek).
