Tired of the mud slinging? Well, let’s put a stop to all of that by making sure the NCT provides mud-free hiking!
On November 23 – at long last – the Chief Noonday Chapter will be building puncheons (boardwalk) across a stretch that has been an ongoing irritation.

We will meet at the trailhead at Augusta Prairie (701 E. Augusta Dr. Augusta is the house nextdoor to the trailhead) at 9:00am – some will be moving lumber to the worksite; some will drive to E/F Ave and start building.

Tools needed? Some smiles! Some “drills/ impact drivers”. We hope/expect to have all the lumber ready to change from boards to a nice walkway! Muscles needed – but also some brains to organize! You won’t know how you will help (carry boards, position or screw them together) until you show up.

If so inclined, meet for Breakfast at Dig-In (the best breakfast in Augusta!) at 111 W Michigan Ave, Augusta at 8:00am to share war stories of past workdays!
