Dakota Prairie Chapter: Hike Sheyenne National Grasslands to Ekre Grassland Preserve
The next hike that Dakota Prairie Chapter is sponsoring will take place on Saturday, August 20, 2022.
It will begin in the Sheyenne National Grasslands and continue 6.5 miles to Albert Ekre Grassland Preserve.
We will meet at the Ekre Preserve at 9:00 A.M., shuttle to the East Trailhead in the SNG and hike back to the Ekre Preserve, where our cars will be parked.
In North Dakota, travel 5 miles south on State Highway 18 from State Highway 46; just after crossing the Sheyenne River, turn left to the parking area for the trailhead.
The hike is a point to point and considered easy to moderate.
Remember to bring plenty of water, a snack, wear hiking boots, and a smile!
Even though this is an outdoor event, if you are feeling ill or know that you have recently been exposed to someone who has tested positive for Covid, please do not attend.
