Enjoy the eastern edge of the Sheyenne National Grasslands with the Dakota Prairie Chapter as we hike or snowshoe the 4-mile Oak Leaf Loop Trail (depending on the weather and the amount of snow on the trail).

This area includes many trees as well as open areas for beautiful views. The trail is rolling terrain, although none of the hills are very steep. Jin Li will be the leader.

We will meet at Jorgen’s Hollow at 1:00 PM. From Kindred, proceed west on Highway 46; turn south (left) on Highway 18; after about 4 miles, turn west on County Road 2; turn south on County Road 23/153rd Ave SE when you see directions to the campground; follow 23 for 3-4 miles until you see the parking area for the trailhead on the left.
