You have never worked so FUN as you will with the crew from NCTA Hiawatha Shore-to-Shore Chapter!

The Worth Road area of the NCNST has a few trail improvement projects that need attention. There is a short reroute needed to improve the route up a hill, a small structure over a creek that needs repair/replacement, and some other similar improvements.

Bring footwear that is comfortable in mud and dirt, gloves (a couple pairs), a hammer, a change of clothes, water, a sack lunch, personal first aid, sunscreen, insect repellent, a camera, and a friend or two! There will be some walking (a couple miles at the farthest) and carting of materials to get to these locations. We do have some tools available and can find one to fit your hand.

We will head to a local restaurant after the work day for refueling and refreshment. Questions can be texted to Tom Walker at 906-322-2617 or emailed to hss@northcountrytrail.org.

Directions: Worth Road travels east/west between US-2 and M-123, just north of Brevort on US-2 and Moran on M-123. From St. Ignace follow US-2 west to Brevort and turn right onto Worth Road. The NCNST crosses Worth Road 5.5 miles east of US-2. From Trout Lake, follow M-123 south towards St. Ignace and turn right onto Worth Road. The NCNST crossing is 4.75 miles west of M-123. An interactive map can be found here.

We will need to record your name and contact information before the work day.
