New guidebook features the NCT in North Dakota

Check out this exciting new book which features good info on the North Country Trail in North Dakota…North Dakota’s Best Hiking Trails (Perfect Paperback) by Scott R. Kudelka.

Is this book a sign that interest in hiking is growing in the Peace Garden State?  I would make the argument that lots of North Dakotans like to hike…they just do it with a shotgun on their shoulder as they wander across the prairie looking for ducks, geese, or pheasants.

It was our famed conservation president who said…

Of course, if you know your history, you know that he was referring to the North Dakota Badlands, which the North Country Trail does not go to as they lie in far western North Dakota.
