Wisconsin NCNST Land Acquisition

“The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is pleased to acquire a 22.9-acre property in Northern Wisconsin. This property will protect 2,800 feet of the Nemadji River, connect a gap between public lands, and allow future construction of a four-mile segment of the North Country National Scenic Trail between County Highway W and South Dedham Road. In years ahead, this acquisition will allow extension of the westernmost [existing] five-mile segment of the North Country Trail in Wisconsin.
