Happy 40th Birthday, North Country Trail!

On March 5, 1980, Congress designated the North Country Trail as a National Scenic Trail.

In the 40 years since, we have countless accomplishments to reflect on and take pride in. We’ve highlighted a few in this infographic, but please take a moment to read through our 2019 Trail Progress Report and keep an eye out for our 2019 Annual Report this spring, as well.
