This out-and-back hike with the Chief Baw Beese Chapter will be approximately 7 miles total in Lost Nations State Game Area starting at Gilbert Rd trailhead (MI-1161.5) hiking to Pittsford Rd trailhead (MI-1164.5+) and back.

We will stop for a break at the infamous Doty Cave mid-hike for snacks and a short rest. Please bring water and snacks as appropriate.

There is one water crossing as well as steep inclines on this section of trail. This section of the trail could be rated as moderate.

No bathroom facilities are near hike (there is a gas station a few miles away from trailhead at M-34/M-99 junction).

Practice Leave No Trace principles. There is limited cell service in this area.
