Chequamegon Chapter Annual Midwinter Meeting
The Chequamegon Chapter will hold its annual Midwinter Meeting at the Drummond Community Center, 52540 Front Ave., Drummond, Wisconsin, this coming Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 10:00 AM to noon. You can follow this link to get a map of the area and see a photo of the building:

We hold this meeting in February of each year to plan our activities for the year, prioritize projects and prepare a calendar of events. I have attached three PDF documents, the Agenda, the Proposed 2024 Calendar of Events, and the Minutes from our November 4, 2023, Business Meeting.
Our guest speaker is Shane Peltonen. Shane recently completed a through-hike of the Appalachian Trail, thereby attaining the Triple Crown of long-distance hiking, the distinction of having through-hiked the Appalachian Trail, the Pacific Crest Trail, and the Continental Divide Trail. Shane has also through-hiked the NCT, the Arizona Trail. and the American Discovery Trail. I invited Shane to tell us about his Appalachian Trail hike and to share his scariest, funniest, most bizarre, and most beautiful experiences as he hiked America’s scenic trails, and he graciously agreed to do so. There will be a Q & A session at the end, so have your questions ready.
Coffee, cocoa and tea will be provided and you are welcome to bring a treat to share. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday!
