This NCTA Grand Traverse Hiking Club Chapter meeting will be the first part of a Trail Adopter’s Workshop. Kenny Wawsczyk, NCTA Regional Trail Coordinator for Michigan, will give a presentation on general trail construction standards, safety, available resources, trail tools, and other things Trail Adopters should know. This will be followed by a presentation showing some of the items that adopters will encounter on our Chapter’s 100 miles of the NCNST. In May, we will follow up with some field training on the NCNST and a celebration afterwards.

This meeting is directed toward Trail Adopters, but all are invited and encouraged to attend. It will give everyone an understanding of what Trail Adopters do (trails don’t maintain themselves!) and may encourage others to become adopters.
