Good crowd enjoys 3rd Annual North Country Hiking Fest!

A good crowd took part in the 3rd Annual North Country Hiking Fest this past Saturday at Itasca State Park in Minnesota.  The family-friendly event was sponsored by the NCTA’s Itasca Moraine and Laurentian Lakes Chapters and Itasca State Park.  It attracted 100+ participants including local area residents, NCTA members from MN & ND, and park visitors from all over.

The event featured kids activities, guided group hikes, a delicious BBQ dinner catered by Douglas Lodge, and an evening concert by NCT ballad author Charlie Maguire.  Charlie also led a nordic walking demo on Sunday morning.
