National Park Service Protected Species Webinar

Categories: General

In early March 2022, Steph Liguori from the National Park Service hosted volunteer information sessions about the protected species that make areas around the North Country National Scenic Trail their home.

The sessions provided an overview of threatened and endangered species’ regulation and compliance, the imperiled species that could live on or near the Trail, and some of the steps we can take to protect and conserve them and their habitats for many generations to come. The presentation includes wildlife facts and videos for the Eastern Massasauga Rattlesnake, the Northern Long Eared Bat, and the Indiana Bat. A video recording is available if you want to revisit the information or if you did not get a chance to attend.
