US-2 in Grand Rapids to the western terminus of the Kekekabic Trail.

The North Country Trail is currently undeveloped between the Kekekabic Trail and the Chippewa National Forest, but long-distance hikers may follow the multi-use Mesabi Trail for most of the route. The NCTA is currently working to develop the Trail in the Kekekabic Trail-to-Ely and Grand Rapids areas. This area offers a quintessential northwoods experience along with glimpses of the Minnesota Iron Range history.
