Superior Hiking Trail

Eastern terminus of the Border Route Trail to the Minnesota/Wisconsin state line.

This nationally recognized 310-mile trail, which is now an official part of the North Country National Scenic Trail route, follows the ridgeline of Minnesota’s scenic North Shore from Hovland southwest to Duluth. It weaves through the City of Duluth and Jay Cooke State Park before entering Wisconsin. The entire stretch of NCNST that is Superior Hiking Trail is managed by the Superior Hiking Trail Association.
