Events

Please join NCTA Brule-St. Croix Chapter member and hike leader Al Decker for a hike on the Portage Trail section of the North Country National Scenic Trail.

The hike is about four miles in distance, and will start at the Palmer’s Landing parking lot and continue to the Chuck Zosel platform. We’ll then return to Palmer’s Landing. The Portage Trail is listed on the Wisconsin Register of Historic Places and has been travelled by many before us, commemorated with stones along the route. Additionally, the Trail crosses the Continental Divide here. It should be a good time for the spring ephemeral wildflowers, too!

Please bring what you like to have along when you hike (e.g. trekking poles, water, snack, bug spray, sunscreen, etc.). Consider registering for the event at meetup.com/sscbhikers. Event will also be posted on Facebook.
